OUR HISTORY
The current site of Stambaugh Middle School (SMS) has served as Auburndale’s center for education since 1915. Over the past century this site was configured as a K-12 school, a high school, a 7th grade center, a traditional junior high, and now a traditional middle school. Stambaugh Middle School was dedicated in September of 1984 and named for Jere L. Stambaugh, a civic leader and champion of education.
